A few personal thanks where missed; Jade Blasse, Guy Ben-Aroya, Sammy Kaye, Luke Miller, Many others but if I listed everything I would run out of characters in this description. Counter Topspin - Table Tennis
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 года назад
Counter Topspin! A high level stroke, which requires great timing and precise technique. 1. Stay relatively close to the table (about one arms length away) 2. Keep your strokes short and sharp 3. Try to use the energy of the ball on its rise (before top of the bounce) Practice practice Patrice and over time you will get better at both the BH and FH counters (high level strokes). Table Tennis - Creating more time for yourself by preparing whilst moving
Просмотров 9 тыс.3 года назад
Prepare whilst you move! Often we move then prepare for a stroke, on this occasion due to time we must prepare whilst we move. 1. Move your feet - towards the target (ball) 2. Rotate - turn your waist (elevated power and disguise) 3. Bring the arm back - coil your playing hand ready to whip it into action. If you can get these three elements working together to will elevate efficiency and quali...

    I watched literally 200 videos how to return side spin and nobody talked about direction of spin except you. There is 4 types of spin, forward spin (ball goes high in the air if placed vertical) backward spin (ball goes down on the table or into the net) right spin (ball goes to the left if you hit it straight) and left spin (ball goes to the right if you hit it straight). How the f nobody talks about that, its simple physics, you just need to know in which direction ball spins and you win 90% of all players. Amateurs, ofcourse.

    我研究了两年我改进。成果是一流的.I studied for 2 years and improved it The result is wonderfull. normally your opponent spin the ball you have to block right?but i don`t do that. i will attack his topspinball.that mean his don`t have enough time to react. that the chinese always say. all sport fast is always the best. every body know that action and reaction.

    Hey, and what about blocking? This good, old weapon is in the aresanal of any defensive player, especially a top one. So if you serve into her crossover, the most natural return, to my understanding, should be not a push, not a chop, but a block! That's what I would do. That's what I instinctively do if my oponent serves or shoots to my crossover. That's what I could do all day long. That's what Deng Yaping would do... over and over again. Don''t serve to her crossover 🙂

    Good video, but when you start a sidestep, always start with the leg that is in the direction of the movement. Never, never, never do normal sidesteps where the first step results in both legs being very close together. As the legs should always be more than shoulder-width apart, this is only possible if you start with the leg facing the movement. The reason for this is that in practice you also have to react to situations in which the ball is placed on your body unexpectedly and out of your own movement. If your legs are close together at this point because you are doing a (wrong) sidestep, you cannot react appropriately. However, this is possible if your legs are always more than shoulder-width apart.

      All wonderful points but in simple terms, when I provide information on here, it’s generic and true footwork development needs to be tailored. For for example a defensive player requires different footwork patterns and stance. Your height must be taken into account, your feet, do you have flat feet or an arch? So do you best to take these drills and tailored it according to your specific needs/requirements

    The with-the-spin or against-the-spin returns always confuse me. I watched a video in Timo Ball channel ruclips.net/video/dpKKziiGlII/видео.html and he is suggesting the with-the-spin returns, while here it is suggested to go with the against-the-spin return. Am I missing something here?

    The main advantage of penhold is that it looks cooler than shakehand, unless, of course, the shakehand player is a chopper.

    • @BiscoWho
      @BiscoWho 8 месяцев назад

      It forces your forehand technique to be all about the spin, which is why you should take the ball later on the forehand, as Xu Xin does. You should also use a DHS Skyline 2 of some sort, if you're taller than 5'9, and you should use a Skyline 3 of some sort, if you're 5'9 or shorter. The Skyline is the ONLY rubber that was specifically designed for the penhold forehand and it's specifically designed for you to be using that prototypical grip too. The thing about the heights is just something I've figured out from experience at the highest level and from observation of the best RPB penholders who use inverted rubbers on both sides. I'm 6'2 aka 188cm. I've used every Skyline there is and I've put them all through their paces. The Skyline 2 NEO with the hard sponge and the Skyline 2 blue sponge 40 degrees are both beautiful for me. I use a Viscaria-type blade. I have one of the most devastating forehands in the world too. When I'm in the midrange and I hammer counterattacks to the diagonal corner those two Skyline 2s make my ball stay low over the net, but it still hits the white paint in the corner, and it has INSANE spin and speed on it. When I try that same thing with any of the Skyline 3s, the ball generally throws higher and it doesn't stay on the rubber as long due to the Skyline 3s being more sensitive to incoming spin. So, the 3 is better for shorter players due to the throw being higher and due to its ability to generate more pace on the ball with a shorter stroke. When you're shorter and a penholder, you can't play as far away from the table as you can when you're taller. So, the Skyline 3's attributes are aligned with the shorter player and the Skyline 2's attributes are aligned with the taller player.
